In the past when we have purchased Bordeaux and we have often wondered what the people were like that we were purchasing our dogs from. Having been where you are at, I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about ourselves...

My wife Shelly and I have been married for just under 15 years. We have four wonderful daughters. Our oldest (out of the house) daughters both live close and are a major help during whelping and helping attend to the dogues while we are away. All our girls spend a lot of time with the dogues and the pups as they develop. We both have full time careers; my wife is the director of manufacturing at Fixturworld and own's/operates her own business. I am employed at Oreck manufacturing in the engineering department. We are everyday middle class working people. We attend church at the River here in Cookeville, tn...

We have chosen to make Cookeville Tennessee our home, predominately because of the ideal climate offered by the wonderful four seasons, in addition to the friendly home town atmosphere offered here in Cookeville Tennessee...

Did you know?

Breed quality Bordeaux’s: Fact of the matter is, many of the champions that you see in the ring may have been purchased as breed quality dogs.

Although genetics may play a significant role in whether or not a pup has the right body lines to be considered a champion, it is equally important that the pup receive proper nutrition, care and ring training, etc…. Having said that a GOOD breed quality Bordeaux is nearly identical to a Champion Bordeaux in every aspect, and almost indistinguishable to anyone but an expert. For example, The AKC recognized fault may consist of the “ear is small in proportion to the skull and of a slightly darker color than the coat. The front of the ears’ base is slightly raised” thereby making it undesirable for show. The pup may otherwise be a PERFECT pet. Costs for breed quality Bordeaux are around $1,500.00.

Show Quality Bordeaux: Although there is no guarantee that a puppy purchased as show quality will become a champion, you have dramatically increased your odds by selecting one that appears to meet the subjective criteria. We examine our pups for known faults such as Mouth not undershot, incisors constantly visible when the mouth is closed, pigmentation or color markings, as well as hip alignment etc…. Pups that appear at the time of examination to meet this criteria may be sold as Show Quality. Costs for Show Quality Bordeaux range from $1,500.00 to $3,000.00
